THE PROGRAM

Our History

When COVID-19 hit, businesses and organizations scrambled to adapt to a new virtual and contactless world. In response to the changing economy, the Regional Development Corporations of Vermont (RDCs) worked quickly to launch the ReVTA program: designed to deliver critically important technical assistance to hundreds of businesses and organizations to adapt business practices, retrofit space and access new technologies.

RDCs leveraged over $2.1 million in Covid relief federal funding to connect local businesses with technical assistance providers.

A third round of the program brought $1.25 million to fund 209 projects with over 450 in-state professionals who helped business owners build new websites, create professional financial systems, market a shop’s relocation, create an audiobook, draft architectural plans, recreate product dies that had been lost to flood, and more, 2023-2024.

We’ve worked with over 800 Vermont businesses.

In all three programs, Navigators working from the offices of the 12 RDCs helped businesses and vendors connect through the exchange. Navigators help you:

  • Understand if you can join the program, and help you apply

  • Pick a project that helps your business do better

  • Find a professional to work with

  • Support you in building a network of trusted new providers

  • Learn about other free resources available to you

Business owners have reached out to let the Legislature know they would like the program to return this July. We will let you know what happens next.
